Steve Simonson, Senior Project Manager, Portland Public Schools
Steve Simonson was born and raised in New Orleans, LA. He is a graduate of St. Paul’s School, received his undergraduate BS degree in Construction Management from Louisiana State University and MS degree in Construction Management from Colorado State University. Steve has 13 years of professional experience in construction trades and construction management services. After working for general and maritime contractors in Louisiana and Colorado while completing his education Steve moved to Seattle and worked in the mechanical design/build industry for several years, before landing in Portland, OR to work for in the public sector. Steve and his wife, Kathryn, live in Portland, OR with their two horses, two dogs, two cats, and a few fish. Steve currently works with Portland Public Schools as a Senior Project Manager and looks forward to the next challenging project to work on. His hobbies include horseback
riding, rock climbing, and disc golf.
Amanda Petretti, Principal, Studio Petretti
Amanda Petretti, AIA, is the founding partner of Studio Petretti, a design-driven architecture studio working with public and private clients throughout the Pacific Northwest. Amanda has called Oregon home since 2004, receiving her MArch from the University of Oregon. She earned a BA degree in Architecture and Urban Design with a minor in Environmental Studies from New York University. With 15 years in the field, Amanda embraces opportunities to develop simple, elegant solutions to complex design problems. Her team brings significant experience with collaborative construction delivery methods and has led projects for education, civic engagement, housing, hospitality and creative office.
Andrew Schreck, Construction Executive, Mortensen Construction
Andy Schreck was born, raised and educated in Portland, OR. He is a graduate of Jesuit High School, received his undergraduate BS degree in Business Administration Management; Construction Engineering Management Minor from Oregon State University and MBA from Regis University. Andy has 25+ years of professional experience in construction management and general contracting services. After spending the first 5 years of his construction career in Portland, Andy spent the next 20 years in California (San Francisco Bay Area & San Diego). Andy and his wife, Erin, have 3 daughters and recently moved back home to Portland, OR. Andy currently works with Mortenson Construction as Construction Executive and looks forward to establishing new relationships in the Portland community. His hobbies include fly fishing, golf, snowboarding, and family activities.
